Some Tips & Tricks for Web Designer Resume

It is said that the first impression is the last impression. A candidate may not be considered by the employers, for a job, if they don’t find his / her resume impressive. Therefore, a resume should never be taken casually by a candidate. A web designer resume, should be made as per the requirements of the recruiter. There is no need to provide information that is not required for the job in question. For an experienced candidate, the resume should focus more, on the work experience that he acquired in the profile, required by the recruiter.

The basic layout of a resume should be as follows:

* Basic information, address, phone nos. and email ids
* Objective
* Educational background details
* Information about projects, internships and trainings
* Previous employer details

The candidate should study a designer resume sample, before creating their own. These sample resumes can be found in abundance, on the internet like the one shared here. If the candidate is a fresher, then he can provide some informal information, about himself. For an experienced candidate, providing such information is not necessary.

A resume should ideally be only 2 pages. A recruiter may not read a longer resume thoroughly. Therefore, he may skip some critical information, provided by the candidate. The candidate should use the common fonts such as: Times New Roman, Arial, Calibri or Verdana. These are standard fonts; other fonts may not be very readable for the recruiter.

It is important that a person mentions the mark up languages, he has worked on and how proficient he is in them. If a person is applying for a web designer’s post then, he may or may not provide the information about his development or testing experience. A person should provide only authentic information in his \ her resume. In the interview, providing such false information will backfire. Writing a resume is not a tough job, but still it has to be taken seriously.
